Generally anything under 80 lbs. is shipping via UPS or parcel. We do see a higher percent of damage when shipping heavy parcel so some elect to ship minimum shipments via LTL common carrier. If damage is a concern and the weights are @ 80 pounds (Shipping tires, engines, frames, multiple items) its best to put the commercial freight on an LTL carrier. The prices are similiar and the damage is generally less. More less than load shipping tips at http://www.ltlfreightcenter.com
